Prapat Jiwarangsan is a Thai visual artist whose interdisciplinary practice bridges art and research. Initially trained in ceramics and glassmaking, his artistic focus shifted towards fine arts following his studies at London’s Royal College of Art.
Working across multiple media—with particular emphasis on photography and video—Jiwarangsan examines the intricate relationships between history, memory and politics in Thailand. His practice has evolved to explore themes of migration, with the past four years dedicated to investigating the experiences of migrant workers beyond their native countries.
Through his work, Jiwarangsan creates platforms for dialogue amongst artists, viewers and migrant workers, fostering mutual understanding and exchange.
