D-Jai Kosiyabong

D-jai Kosiyabong explores the themes of language, memory and nostalgia through her paintings. She begins the process of painting by anchoring herself within a certain memory and uses that memory alongside specific rules that pay homage to semiotics and language to dictate the way in which her hand moves around the canvas. From there, Kosiyabong translates her paintings from the visual language to auditory language. Thus, resulting in large-scale paintings that are a new language. Kosiyabong carries this sense of contemplation and evokes the feeling of celebration within her work by creating a new world that is both hopeful and playful.

D-Jai Kosiyabong (b.1998, Bangkok, Thailand) currently lives and works in Bangkok, Thailand  and has a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Hons) from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn. Kosiyabong has been included in various exhibitions such as “Being Human | Human Being” exhibition, Carlsberg Byens in Copenhagen, Denmark, “It’s Not Me. It’s My Image” at Gallery House, Brooklyn, New York and more. Kosiyabong is currently working on a solo exhibition for April 2024 and her works are currently in the collections of collectors in the U.S., through Europe and Asia.

 

ดีใจ โกสิยพงษ์ สำรวจแนวคิดเกี่ยวกับภาษา ความทรงจำ และความโหยหาอดีตผ่านงานจิตรกรรมของเธอ เธอเริ่มกระบวนการวาดภาพด้วยการยึดตัวเองอยู่ในความทรงจำบางอย่าง และใช้ความทรงจำนั้นร่วมกับกฎเฉพาะที่แสดงความเคารพต่อสัญศาสตร์และภาษา เพื่อกำหนดวิธีที่มือของเธอเคลื่อนไหวไปรอบๆ ผืนผ้าใบ จากนั้น ดีใจแปลงภาพวาดของเธอจากภาษาภาพเป็นภาษาเสียง ส่งผลให้เกิดภาพวาดขนาดใหญ่ที่เป็นภาษาใหม่ เธอนำความรู้สึกของการใคร่ครวญนี้และปลุกความรู้สึกของการเฉลิมฉลองในงานของเธอด้วยการสร้างโลกใหม่ที่ทั้งเปี่ยมด้วยความหวังและความสนุกสนาน

 

ดีใจ โกสิยพงษ์ (เกิดปี 1998, กรุงเทพฯ, ประเทศไทย) ปัจจุบันอาศัยและทำงานอยู่ในกรุงเทพฯ ประเทศไทย และจบการศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรีศิลปกรรมศาสตรบัณฑิต (เกียรตินิยม) จากสถาบัน Pratt Institute, บรู๊กลิน, นิวยอร์ก ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา ผลงานของดีใจได้รวมอยู่ในนิทรรศการต่างๆ เช่น นิทรรศการ "Being Human | Human Being" ที่ Carlsberg Byen ในโคเปนเฮเกน ประเทศเดนมาร์ก, "It's Not Me. It's My Image" ที่ Gallery House, บรู๊กลิน, นิวยอร์ก ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา และอื่นๆ อีกมากมาย ปัจจุบัน ดีใจกำลังทำงานเพื่อนิทรรศการเดี่ยวในเดือนเมษายน พ.ศ. 2568 และผลงานของเธอปัจจุบันอยู่ในคอลเลกชันของนักสะสมในสหรัฐอเมริกา ทั่วยุโรป และเอเชีย
