An Award-winning Thai artist, who is currently pursuing a doctorate at Silpakorn University.
Since the early 2000’s his work has been highly honored; being the multiple-time winner of the Panasonic Contemporary Painting Competition and multiple-time winner of the Toshiba “Brings Good Things to Life” Art Competition.
His works are collected by many prestigious institutions, including the Bank of Thailand and the Rose Hotel. Wittawat’s contemporary work always has many deep meanings inside, and the content is heavily related to his world; one of politics and social sensitivities.
The truth and the shadows it lives within is the source of Wittawat’s main inspiration. The more our reality is perceived, the greater our inability to locate and live the truth. His work dominates in expressing this feeling of a hidden reality by playing off content and imagery loaded with direct and indirect messages of our social misdirection.
