KOSTAR

Kostar is a French artist born in the 70’s in Paris. He became popular in the 1990’s for street art and graffitti, when he uses to paint walls and various surfaces (trains, trucks, subways...) all around the world (USA, Europe, Asia) for TV shows, sports or brands events. 

While he was Based in Beijing in 2013, his artworks, exhibited in Chinese and French galleries, got a new dimension, with the goal of expressing humor and positive vibes, like his PSCIYL project: Put Some Color Into Your Life. Humor and colors, are two of the main characteristic of his works. Kostar has given “Urban Art” a whole new definition –This revolutionary artist moves us through dynamic images, and thought provoking phrases; he takes a leap of faith and chooses the path of passion and the unknown, rather than safety and conformity. 

Kostar is constantly evolving with new materials such as neon lights, screws, sculptures, photography and film. What remains constant is his razor sharp with and incisive humor. 

Kostar เกิดที่กรุงปารีส ประเทศฝรั่งเศส ในช่วงยุค 70 ต่อมาเขาเริ่มเป็นที่รู้จักช่วงปี 1990 จากการสร้างผลงานศิลปะแนว street art และ graffiti ตามพื้นผิวหรือผนังของสถานที่และวัตถุต่างๆ ไม่ว่าจะเป็น รถบรรทุก รถไฟ หรือรถไฟฟ้าใต้ดิน ที่ปรากฏให้เห็นอยู่ทั่วทุกมุมโลกทั้งในสหรัฐอเมริกา ยุโรป และเอเชีย ศิลปินสร้างสรรค์ผลงานให้กับรายการโทรทัศน์ วงการกีฬาและแบรนด์ชั้นนำต่างๆ

ครั้งที่อาศัยอยู่ในเมืองปักกิ่ง ประเทศจีนเมื่อปี 2013 ผลงานของเขาถูกจัดแสดงทั้งในแกลเลอรีจีนและฝรั่งเศส ตัวงานถูกพัฒนาจนเกิดมิติและมุมมองใหม่ ขนานคู่ไปกับการสร้างอารมณ์ขันและความรู้สึกเชิงบวกดั่งเช่นโปรเจคที่ผ่านมาในชื่อ PSCIYL: Put Some Color Into Your Life ที่ใช้สีสันและข้อขบขันมาเป็นหัวใจหลักของงานศิลปะ Kostar ได้ให้กำเนิดคำนิยามใหม่แก่ Urban Art ผ่านภาพและชุดคำพูดอันทรงพลัง

Kostar ยกระดับงานของตนเองอย่างต่อเนื่อง ทั้งทำการสำรวจและทดลองวัสดุใหม่ๆ เช่น ไฟนีออน ตะปู ประติมากรรม ภาพถ่ายและภาพยนตร์ โดยยังสอดแทรกอารมณ์ขันไว้ในทุกงานศิลปะอย่างคมคาย

Chloé Kelly Miller

Born in Rouen in 1995, Chloé Kelly Miller lives and works in Paris. She started studying psychology in 2013, which was the impetus for starting her artistic career. She is particularly interested in psychoanalytic theories and more particularly the concepts of automatism and the liberation of the Unconscious. She displays an eclectic body of work, constituted of photographs, acrylics, graffiti, inks and drawings. The deconstruction of the eyes is a recurrent motif in her artworks, which she sees as a mean of personal expression. 

As a result, the portrait genre holds a central place in her collection. It enables her to depict her experience of the self and explore the process of othering. She considers her artistic praxis as inherently spontaneous and eruptive. From iconic figures of pop culture to intimate and fragmented images, the artist investigates the notions of identity and representation. She does so by creating a dynamic exchange between the subject and the viewer in her artworks. Her canvases act as a “visual epiphany”, characterised by the play between the arrangement and colouring of the bodies. Her use of different media facilitates the expression of emotions, generated by the leftover traces of her spontaneous gestures. She considers this gesture as a language, to which she associates primordial human qualities. Colours and black backgrounds dominate the whole series, in order to evoke - mirroring our Unconscious – the presence of repressed effects as well as their movements in the abyss of the psyche. 

Chloé Kelly Miller เกิดเมื่อปีค.ศ. 1995 เมืองรูอ็อง ประเทศฝรั่งเศส ใช้ชีวิตและทำงานในกรุงปารีส เริ่มต้นศึกษาจิตวิทยาในปี 2013 ซึ่งต่อมาเป็นแรงผลักดันให้ผันตัวเข้าสู่การทำงานศิลปะ เธอให้ความสนใจกับทฤษฎีจิตวิเคราะห์         (Psychoanalytic Theories) เป็นพิเศษ รวมไปถึงเรื่องการเคลื่อนไหวอัตโนมัติ (Automatism) และแนวคิดการปลดปล่อยจิตใต้สำนึก ความสนใจอันหลากหลายผสมผสานเป็นตัวงานที่เกิดจากทั้งภาพถ่าย อะคริลิค กราฟฟิตี หมึกและการเส้นวาด ดวงตาหลากสีและขนาดเกิดขึ้นซ้ำๆในรูปภาพของเธอ เป็นช่องทางให้เธอได้แสดงความรู้สึกนึกคิดส่วนตัว

การสร้างสรรค์ผลงานภาพบุคคลถือเป็นหัวใจของศิลปิน เป็นโอกาสในการเล่าประสบการณ์ส่วนตัวและค้นคว้าการมีปฎิสัมพันธ์กับผู้อื่นในขณะเดียวกัน Chloé ถ่ายทอดงานอย่างตรงไปตรงมาและเป็นธรรมชาติพร้อมกับสีสันอันฉูดฉาด เธอสำรวจแนวคิดเกี่ยวกับตัวตนและการแสดงออก ตั้งแต่สัญลักษณ์ Pop culture อันโด่งดัง ไปจนถึงเศษเสี้ยวภาพต่างๆ ทั้งหมดล้วนถ่ายทอดผ่านการแลกเปลี่ยนที่เกิดขึ้นระหว่างรูปทรงกับผู้คน ผืนผ้าใบคลับคล้ายภาพนิมิตร ดั่งละครเวทีของการจัดวางและรูปร่างจากเม็ดสี การหยิบใช้วัสดุสื่อกลางที่ต่างกันเกื้อหนุนการแสดงออกทางอารมณ์ผ่านท้วงท่าอันเป็นธรรมชาติซึ่งตัวศิลปินถือว่าเป็นมรดกจากมนุษย์ยุคก่อนประวัติศาสตร์ สีสันและพื้นหลังที่ดำสนิทในผลงานชุดนี้เป็นภาพสะท้อนของจิตใต้สำนึก ความรู้สึกที่ถูกกดทับ และการเคลื่อนไหวที่ถูกขับออกมาจากก้นบึ้งของจิต

Hom Nguyen 

Hom Nguyen, born in Paris in 1972, is a self-taught artist with instinctive style. As an unconventional personality, his works are just as much. Working with charcoal, gouache felt, oil or even pen, each of his paintings appears as a combat, a hand-tohand confrontation with matter from which arises a will: to reveal the deepest of the human being through the lines and color. 

Most of Hom’s work revolves around the creation of monumental portraits. The choice of colors, the application of the material or the vivacity of the gesture are always done in order to show to the world his vision of the human being beyond appearances. His works capture and transcend the depth of feelings and the complexity of the emotions that overwhelm the human soul. 

His subtle representations deal with the duality of the visible and the invisible, the material and the immaterial. Thus, Hom Nguyen pushes each of us to a reflection, an introspection, on what we show of ourselves, what we are trying to hide and what we really are. 

Hom Nguyen เกิดที่กรุงปารีส ประเทศฝรั่งเศส ในปี ค.ศ. 1972 เป็นศิลปินผ่านการเรียนรู้ด้วยตนเองและใช้สัญชาตญาณในการออกแบบผลงาน ผลลัพธ์คือภาพที่แหกคอก คาดเดาได้ยาก ในการเลือกที่จะทำงานกับถ่าน สีกวอช สีน้ำมัน หรือแม้กระทั่งปากกาในทุกครั้งการทำงาน เปรียบเสมือนการต่อสู้ การเผชิญหน้ากับเรื่องราวที่เกิดขึ้นในช่วงขณะ การเปิดเผยก้นบึ้งของความเป็นมนุษย์ด้วยเพียงแค่เส้นและสี

ผลงานส่วนใหญ่ของ Hom เป็นการสร้างสรรค์ภาพบุคคลที่มีชื่อเสียง ศิลปินตั้งใจที่จะแสดงให้ถึงความเป็นมนุษย์ที่นอกเหนือจากภาพลักษณ์ผ่านการเลือกสีและวัสดุ หรือแม้แต่ท่วงท่าของตัวแบบ ศิลปะของเขาจึงเป็นการยกระดับความรู้สึกนึกคิดเบื้องลึกและอารมณ์อันแสนจะซับซ้อนที่เอ่อล้นและกดทับจิตวิญญาณของหมู่คน

Jisbar 

Born in 1989, Jisbar has circulated his art around Paris for 10 years. His art deals with the front of pop culture references. His creations update our saturated society with media and pop references, which he takes and interprets with his own universe. Fashion, music, lifestyle, the freestyle mind and other expressions found in the streets are the elements which build his style. 

Jisbar likes to say that each of his works represent « moments of life », like a memory which are made forever in a photo album. This sincerity pushes the spectator to concentrate on every single detail in order to understand the entirety of its meaning. 

Jisbar is an artist who paints impulsively and applies himself to demonstrate that creative spontaneity. This allows him to create stories who animates his daily life and the look that he wears on our society while keeping its authenticity. 

Jisbar เกิดเมื่อปีค.ศ.1989 ได้จัดแสดงงานศิลปะในกรุงปารีสมาเป็นเวลาร่วม 10 ปี ตัวงานมักเป็นการหยิบยืมสัญลักษณ์ Pop culture อันเป็นที่รู้จักมาใช้ ดั่งเป็นการแต่งแต้มให้เห็นถึงสังคมปัจจุบันที่ถึงจุดอิ่มตัวที่เต็มไปตัวสื่อ ประสานไปกับความต้องการที่จะสร้างโลกส่วนตัวที่หนาแน่นไปด้วยแฟชั่น เสียงดนตรี ไลฟ์สไตล์ แนวคิดที่โลดโผนอย่างอิสระร่วมไปถึงงานศิลปะที่เห็นได้ตามท้องถนน 

ผลงานทุกชิ้นเปรียบเสมือนห้วงเวลาหนึ่งของชีวิต ที่อาจใช้เวลาไม่มีที่สิ้นสุดหากเปรียบเทียบกับการทำอัลบั้มรูปภาพ ด้วยเหตุนี้ศิลปินจึงตั้งใจให้ผู้ชมได้สำรวจในทุกๆ รายละเอียดเพื่อที่จะทำความเข้าใจองค์รวมของแต่ละชิ้นงาน

Jisbar สร้างผลงานที่มีสีสันแต่ในขณะเดียวกันนั้นที่ยังมีความเป็นกันเอง สะท้อนเรื่องราวที่เขาพบเจอในแต่ละวันหรือแม้กระทั้งแฟชั่นที่เขาสวมใส่ที่หลอมรวมเป็นเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะตัว

Louis Nicolas Darbon 

The unifying theme running through Louis-Nicolas’ life is the divided influences which converge to make his art so unique. Whether it is culture, artistic inspiration, or the place he calls home; none have been straightforward. 

Studying in cities abroad has further fuelled Louis- Nicolas’ creativity, opening his eyes to new styles, sights and inspirations. But the cities of Paris, New York and his current home of London have made the largest impact on Louis-Nicolas’ work. The energetic city life of New York, Paris’ tranquillity and London’s creativity continue to provide Louis-Nicolas with inspiration at every corner. Similarly diverse is the range of artists and styles which have influenced Louis-Nicolas’ work across the decades.

Louis-Nicolas now lives and works in West London for a global fashion company. Once again, several worlds merge into one unique experience, as Louis- Nicolas’ passions for both the spheres of fashion and art are fed by the diverse, avant-garde community of nearby East London.

Louis Nicolas Darbon ใช้ชีวิตอยู่ภายใต้การได้รับอิทธิพลที่หลากหลาย ไม่ว่าจะเป็น วัฒนธรรม แรงบันดาลใจทางศิลปะหรือระแวกที่เขาพักอาศัยอยู่ในหลายพื้นที่ ล้วนตกผลึกเป็นงานศิลปะที่แปลกตา 

Louis-Nicolas ได้เติมเต็มความคิดสร้างสรรค์ของตัวเองในช่วงสมัยที่ยังร่ำเรียนอยู่ที่เมืองต่างๆในต่างแดน ตอบรับแนวทางและแรงบันดาลใจใหม่ๆ หากแต่ตัวศิลปินรู้สึกผูกพันและได้รับอิทธิพลจากตัวเมืองปารีส นิวยอร์กและลอนดอนซึ่งเป็นที่อยู่ปัจจุบันของเขาเป็นพิเศษ วิถีชีวิตอันครึกครื้นในนิวยอร์ก ความเงียบสงบในปารีสและความคิดสร้างสรรค์ที่ได้รับจากตัวเมืองลอนดอนเป็นตัวขับเคลื่อนสำคัญให้ศิลปินได้ผลิตผลงานที่มีความหลากหลายมาเป็นช่วงเวลาผ่านทศวรรษ

ปัจจุบันศิลปินอาศัยอยู่ในลอนดอนตะวันตกและกำลังร่วมงานกับบริษัทแฟชั่นข้ามชาติแห่งหนึ่ง Louis-Nicolas ได้ใช้เวลาทุ่มเทกับทั้งงานแฟชั่นและผลิตผลงานศิลปะในเวลาเดียวกันโดยตัวเขาเป็นส่วนหนึ่งกับกลุ่ม avant-garde ในฝั่งตะวันตกของกรุงลอนดอน

The exhibition “Art Cart 01” will be held on the first, second and third floor of Gallery Bldg., SAC Gallery from 3 November 2020 until 28 February 2021. The official opening ceremony will be held on 28 November 2020, 4:00PM onwards.
