Beyond a shadow: by Atthasit Pokpong

16 January - 21 February 2016

“Beyond a Shadow“, the recent collection of works of the artist, was created during the three months when the artist stayed in Paris, France, in 2015. With this collection of works the artist wants to show truth that remains in his pictures to be as clear as possible. The way to show the truth is to communicate through the overlapping connection between lights and shadow, the contrary yet parallel dimensions, good faith and dark despair, devils and virtue, and truths that all proceed together and cannot be divided. In life journey 'lights' is often used as the symbol of hope that humans seek for, while in human life shadow is essential. What is believed through the path of many memories, no concerns whether they are good or bad, these reasons of life are the inspiration that Attasit put into his art works which are typically as beautiful as standardized works.

The exhibition “Beyond a Shadow” will be held on the first floor of Art Centre Bldg., SAC Gallery from 16 January until 21 February 2016. The official opening ceremony will be held on 16 January 2016, 6:00PM onwards.
