Pomme Chan Thai

Pomme Chan was born and educated in Bangkok, Thailand. Pomme Chan completed her BA in Interior Design at Silpakorn University before working at the Bangkok offices of WPP’s DY&R and Grey as a graphic designer. In 2002 she relocated to the UK for a Foundation in Graphic Design and Communication at the London College of Communication. Pomme Chan lived and worked in London until 2014 when she returned to Bangkok to open What If Home Decor shop & cafe and her own Happy People Studio.

Over the past 20 years, her drawings have been featured in many magazines. She has worked on prestigious ad campaigns, for example, Sony, MTV, Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz, Marc Jacobs, Microsoft, The Guardian, Urban Outfitters, Nike, and Topshop.  

Using her unique hand-drawn skill, Pomme Chan’s eclectic style gets its inspiration from everyday life. Nature, Abstract shape, architecture and free form play a big part in her works. Pomme Chan is passionate about turning everything she draws and paints into other forms, such as wallpaper, rugs, prints, Ceramics, cushions, Lampshades and Furniture. 

ปอม ธัชมาพรรณ จันทร์จำรัสแสง หรือที่รู้จักกันในชื่อของ Pomme Chan จบจากคณะมัณฑนศิลป์ สาขาออกแบบภายใน มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร และทำงานกราฟิกดีไซน์ ก่อนจะไปศึกษาต่อด้านกราฟิกดีไซน์ที่ London College of Communication ประเทศอังกฤษ Pomme Chan ทำงานและอาศัยที่อังกฤษจนถึง พ.ศ. 2557 ก่อนจะกลับมาเปิด What If Home Décor shop & café และ Happy People Studio ที่กรุงเทพ 

Pomme Chan ได้สร้างสรรค์ผลงานในฐานะกราฟิกดีไซน์เนอร์ นักออกแบบ และนักวาดภาพประกอบ มาเป็นเวลากว่า 20 ปี ร่วมงานกับแมกกาซีนหลากหลายฉบับ และแบรนด์ดังระดับโลก อาทิ Sony MTV Volkswagen Mercedes-Benz Marc Jacobs Microsoft The Guardian Urban Outfitters Nike และ Topshop

Pomme Chan นำเอาแรงบันดาลใจจากชีวิตประจำวันในแต่ละวัน อาทิ ลวดลายจากธรรมชาติ รูปทรงนามธรรม และสถาปัตยกรรม มาเป็นองค์ประกอบสำคัญในผลงานด้วยเทคนิคการวาดเส้นที่เป็นเอกลักษณ์ ก่อนจะเปลี่ยนลวดลายต่างๆ ให้ปรากฏเป็นส่วนหนึ่งร่วมกับงานรูปแบบอื่นๆ อาทิ วอลเปเปอร์ พรม ภาพพิมพ์ เซรามิก หมอนอิง โคมไฟ และเฟอร์นิเจอร์ ด้วยความชอบและความหลงใหลส่วนตัว
