Art Cart 04: Handle with care

The forth incarnation of the Art Cart project we find ourselves in the midst of a situation where the epidemic crisis confines people so severely that the vast world is reduced to a rectangular screen in the palm of your hand. It is a time when there are conflicts between different ideologies, peoples’ beliefs are shaken, old faiths overthrown and all these things lead to the emotional instability. Everything reminds us to take care of our thoughts and feelings towards the stimuli around us and handle it with care. Our senses and our minds require us to deal with them carefully. 

Handle with care is a curated presentation selected 45 works from 11 artists, which have been interpreted to reflect the subtleties within the mind that must be taken into consideration and dealt with mindfully. The artwork of Huang Xiaoliang, Supasit Thammaprasert and Suntur that reflects states of mind. We all have been in a state of despair, confusion, waiting, or even slipping into the sweet contemplation of the summer of youth.

Several of artists choose the female subject for their practice. Kittaya Poolsawatdi, Attasit Pokpong, and Chayanin Kwangkaew bring a feminine image to communicate a combination of imagination and reality within different faces, eyes and gestures — each reflexing an idea according to the definition of each artist. In each piece that invites us to try to find meaning under woman’s eyes like strong, gentle, volatile and stable. In one of the many differences, it waiting for the discovery to take care of those women in order for them to remain their beauty in their own way.

Sculpture by Vipoo Srivilasa include the use of glass and ceramic as well as mixed media using wood materials and ceramic Kintsugi technique by Sumanatsya Voharn. They all require both care and caution in every step since production to display. Even though the material demands that we move with care, but the work itself communicates the artist’s vibrant.

Rotation ที่ 4 ของโปรเจค Art Cart ท่ามกลางสภาวะที่เราทุกคนต่างต้องเผชิญวิกฤตโรคระบาดที่หลายๆ คนต้องอยู่ในพื้นที่จำกัด โลกกว้างใหญ่ถูกลดทอนไว้ในจอสี่เหลี่ยมบนฝ่ามือ ความขัดแย้งกันระหว่างหลายกลุ่มความคิด ความเชื่อบางอย่างถูกสั่นคลอน ความศรัทธาต่อสิ่งหนึ่งสิ่งใดถูกล้มล้าง นำไปสู่ความรู้สึกไม่มั่นคงทางอารมณ์ ทุกอย่างล้วนย้ำเตือนเราให้หมั่นดูแลความคิดตลอดจนความรู้สึกต่อที่มีต่อสิ่งเร้ารอบตัว และยืดถือไว้ด้วยใจถนอม ผัสสะและจิตใจเรียกร้องให้เราต้องคอยรับมือกับสิ่งเหล่านั้นอย่างระมัดระวัง

Handle with care เป็น curated presentation ที่ได้คัดสรรค์ 45 ผลงาน จาก 11 ศิลปิน ซึ่งถูกนำมาตีความถึงความละเอียดอ่อนภายในจิตใจที่ต้องแบกถือไว้อย่างระมัดระวัง ดังในงานของ สุภสิทธิ์ ธรรมประเสริฐ, หวง เฉี่ยวเลี่ยง และ ซันเต๋อ ที่สะท้อนห้วงความคิด ที่ไม่ว่าใครล้วนเคยตกอยู่ในสภาวะเคว้งคว้าง สับสน รอคอย หรือแม้แต่การหลุดไปในห้วงคำนึงแห่งความหอมหวานของฤดูร้อนในวัยเยาว์

หญิงสาวในงานจิตรกรรมของ กฤตยา พูลสวัสดิ์, ชญานิน กวางแก้ว และ อรรถสิทธิ์ ปกป้อง นำภาพลักษณ์ความเป็นผู้หญิง สื่อสารผ่านรูปลักษณ์ซึ่งผสมผสานระหว่างจินตนาการกับความจริง ด้วยใบหน้า แววตา และอิริยาบถที่แตกต่างกันไป ตามนิยามของศิลปินแต่ละท่าน ในแต่ละชิ้นงานที่ชวนให้เราลองหาความหมายภายใต้แววตาหญิงสาวของศิลปิน ที่เข้มแข็ง นุ่มนวล แปรปรวน และมั่นคง ในสภาวะหนึ่งที่แตกต่างหลากหลาย รอการค้นหาเพื่อดูแลตัวตนของหญิงสาวเหล่านั้นให้คงความเป็นตัวของตัวเองอย่างงดงามในแบบของพวกเธอ

ศิลปะแนวนามธรรมของ กิติก้อง ติลกวัฒโนทัย และ กิ-ออค จอง ถูกสร้างขึ้นจากมุมมองของสายสัมพันธ์ระหว่างความเป็นพ่อแม่ที่มีต่อลูก ความผูกพันที่ร้อยรัดให้อุ้มชูดูแล เฝ้ามองชีวิตน้อยๆ เติบโตไปพร้อมๆ กับพัฒนาการด้านการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานศิลปะของศิลปินผู้ซึ่งเป็นพ่อและแม่ 

ประติมากรรมของ วิภู ศรีวิลาศ ที่มีทั้งประติมากรรมแก้วและเซรามิก ไปจนถึงงานสื่อผสมที่ใช้วัสดุจากไม้และเซรามิกเทคนิคคินซึงิของ สุมนัสยา โวหาร ล้วนเป็นผลงานจากวัสดุที่ต้องใช้ทั้งความใส่ใจและระมัดระวังในทุกขั้นตอน ตั้งแต่ผลิตจนกระทั่งจัดแสดง แม้วัสดุเรียกร้องให้เราเคลื่อนย้ายอย่างทะทุถนอม แต่ตัวชิ้นงานกลับสื่อสารความสร้างสรรค์ของศิลปินออกมาได้อย่างแข็งแกร่ง
