Art Cart 08: Calm Down

SAC Gallery invites you to view late-year art while exploring the inner calm of the things you have been through all year. This time, Art Cart 08 presents the artworks of 8 artists who have used indigo tones to create their works and many pieces with stars as the main element.

 

In a world of diversity, people have different ways of relaxing from their displeasure. Going out to look at the sky, let the indigo color gradually alleviate the bad feeling. Some said that colors affect emotions, and blue tones can help calm the mind. So will the artwork in the same tone as the sky also make audiences feel better? Will the indigo fabric from the tie-dye technique look like the blue sky at dawn? Will abstract brushstroke feel like the movement of clouds? How long will photographs of the sky help us remember the past? The answers to these questions will vary depending on how the work is connected to the viewer’s experience. Art is open enough for everyone to think further. Maybe what Victor Hugo said is true. “There is one spectacle grander than the sea, that is the sky. There is one spectacle grander than the sky, that is the interior of the soul.”

 

“Art Cart 08: Calm Down” is the first collaboration of SAC Gallery and three young illustrators; Chickenmew, Namasri Niumim, and toddyinthemood from the Bangkok Illustrator Fair 2022 (BKKIF) project. Each of them is clearly unique in their own works. Come get to know the works and support Thai artists at SAC Gallery.

วิกตอร์ อูว์โก กวีชาวฝรั่งเศส เคยกล่าวไว้ว่า “ปรากฏการณ์ที่ยิ่งใหญ่กว่าทะเล คือท้องฟ้า

ปรากฏการณ์ที่ยิ่งใหญ่กว่าท้องฟ้า คือสิ่งภายในจิตวิญญาณ”

 

เอส เอ ซี แกลเลอรี ชวนคุณชมงานศิลปะช่วงปลายปี พร้อมๆ กับสำรวจภายในจิตใจให้ค่อยๆ calm down จากเรื่องราวที่คุณต้องผ่านมันมาทั้งปี ครั้งนี้ Art Cart 08 นำเสนอผลงานจากศิลปิน 8 ท่าน ที่ได้ใช้โทนสีครามในการสร้างสรรค์ผลงาน และผลงานที่มีดวงดาวระยิบระยับอยู่ในองค์ประกอบภาพ

 

ในโลกแห่งความหลากหลาย คนเรามีวิธีผ่อนคลายตัวเองจากความไม่สบายใจแตกต่างกันไป การออกไปมองน้ำ มองฟ้า ให้สีครามค่อยๆ คลายความรู้สึกไม่ดีในใจลงไป ก็เป็นวิธีที่หลายคนเลือก ว่ากันว่าสีมีผลต่อความรู้สึก และสีโทนฟ้า คราม น้ำเงิน จะช่วยให้ใจคนเราสงบลงได้ แล้วงานศิลปะในโทนสีเดียวกับท้องฟ้าจะทำให้ผู้ชมรู้สึกดีขึ้นได้ด้วยหรือเปล่า? ผืนผ้าสีครามจากเทคนิคมัดย้อมจะคล้ายผืนฟ้าสีครามยามรุ่งสางไหม? แล้วลายเส้นนามธรรมจะให้ความรู้สึกเหมือนการเคลื่อนไหวของเมฆหรือเปล่า? ภาพถ่ายท้องฟ้าจะช่วยให้เราจดจำช่วงเวลาที่ได้ผ่านไปแล้วได้นานแค่ไหน? คำตอบของคำถามเหล่านี้คงต่างกันไปตามการเชื่อมโยงผลงานตรงหน้ากับประสบการณ์ของผู้ชม และศิลปะเปิดกว้างพอให้ทุกคนได้คิดต่อ อาจจะจริงอย่างที่ วิกตอร์ อูว์โก กล่าวไว้จริงๆ ก็ได้ ว่าปรากฏการณ์ที่ยิ่งใหญ่กว่าท้องฟ้าและทะเลก็คือสิ่งที่อยู่ข้างในใจของเรา

 

ความพิเศษของ “Art Cart 08: คราม-ดาว (Calm Down)” ครั้งนี้ เป็นการร่วมงานกันครั้งแรกของ เอส เอ ซี และ 3 ศิลปิน Illustrator รุ่นใหม่อย่าง Chickenmew, นะมะศรี เนียมอิ่ม และ toddyinthemood จากโปรเจค Bangkok Illustrator Fair 2022 (BKKIF) ซึ่งแต่ละท่านมีเอกลักษณ์ในผลงานของตัวเองอย่างชัดเจน มาร่วมทำความรู้จักผลงานและสนับสนุนศิลปินไทยได้ที่ เอส เอ ซี แกลเลอรี
